Summer 2019 Schedule Announced

We are pleased to announce that Lux Debate Camp will again be offering debate training classes to middle school and high school students in the San Francisco Bay Area this Summer 2019, during the summer school break. We're looking forward to it!

The training this summer will consist of 6 regularly scheduled 3-hour classroom training sessions, held once per week, for 6 weeks, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. After the six-week training course, there will be a 7th bonus week, with voluntary extra review sessions and opportunities for teamwork preparation and a final debate tournament. The total price is $300 per student, with a 50% discount for a 2nd (and 3rd, 4th, ... ) sibling of the same family. Full financial scholarships are available based on a combination of merit and financial need.

The general schedule is as follows:

• Week 1 - week of June 10, 2019 - 3-hour class

• Week 2 - week of June 17, 2019 - 3-hour class

• (no class during week of June 24, 2019)

• Week 3 - week of July 1, 2019 - 3-hour class

• Week 4 - week of July 8, 2019 - 3-hour class

• Week 5 - week of July 15, 2019 - 3-hour class

• (no class during week of July 22, 2019)

• Week 6 - week of July 29, 2019 - 3-hour class

• Week 7 - week of August 5, 2019 - bonus week with voluntary review sessions & opportunities for teamwork & tournament preparation

• Final Tournament - Saturday, August 10, 2019

  
  

Our plan is to have numerous class offerings around the San Francisco Bay area, based on demand. As of today, we have one class location set in Cupertino, and we are planning to offer other classes in other locations, such as San Jose, Palo Alto, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, San Mateo, Milpitas, Fremont, Livermore, Pleasanton, San Ramon, and San Francisco, as well as other locations, based on demand in those areas. (We will post separate announcements for each specific location.)
